Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Rose Marie Walker announced that registration for the Town of Oyster Bay Youth Ice Hockey Program will begin soon.
“The Youth Ice Hockey Program is one of the town’s most popular recreational programs,” Walker stated. “It provides youngsters ages 6 to 13 with the opportunity to hone their skating and hockey skills under the tutelage of certified ice hockey coaches. The program also offers low registration fees of $75 for one child or $100 for two or more children in the same family.”
Registration will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 5 to 9 pm at the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center at Bethpage Community Park, as well as on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Ice Skating Center at Bethpage Community Park. Registration will also be available at the Recreation Office at the Ice Skating Center, located at 1001 Stewart Avenue in Bethpage, from Nov. 16 through Nov.25 during regular business hours of 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Registrants must bring a copy of their birth certificate, proof of Town of Oyster Bay residency (tax bill, canceled check, utility bill, etc.) and a check or money order (cash is not accepted) for $75 for one child being registered or $100 for two or more children in the same family being registered. All registrants must bring these items, even if they have participated in the past. A parent or legal guardian must be present at registration.
