Temple Chaverim of Plainview invites you to “Festival of Lights – A Synaplex Chanukah Program” from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come for a Chanukah celebration which will include learning, art, food and fun for all. Chose from a variety of engaging programs for adults and families. The program includes Shabbat service, workshops, Menorah lighting ceremony and a light lunch. Cost for members $7(individual)/$20(entire family) and nonmembers $10(individual)/$25 (entire family). RSVP a must. Call 367-6100, ext 4.

Temple Chaverim of Plainivew invites you to an adult education program “Eat and Learn” on Jan. 24 at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy a catered dinner followed by a talk by Professor Christopher Williams, associate vice president for Government Relations and Public Policy at C.W. Post Long Island University entitled “The Seven Jewish Justices of the United States Supreme Court.” Professor Williams will discuss the justices’ personal stories as well as their impact on American jurisprudence. Pot-Luck Luncheon

Sponsored by the Long Island League to Abolish Cancer on Jan. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library, 999 Old Country Rd.
