Walter Imperatore Knows Oyster Bay
Walter Imperatore of Renaissance Properties e-mailed to identify the Feb. 25 mystery picture. “Is this on Route 106 south of 25A?” he asked, including the photograph.
“You are amazingly correct,” we answered. It is the new Equestrian Center on Route 106, south of Route 25A – and about opposite the Jericho Cider Mill.
He also identified the mystery-mystery picture from Feb. 18. He wrote, “Just saw picture for the previous week of the plaza behind Chrison & Bellina and next to the TRA offices with the Adirondack chairs. I would have felt awkward writing in that one,” he said.
Actually, dear reader, we asked him to check it out and answer it since we knew for sure he knew for sure where it was located. We appreciate his help. Actually when putting in the photo we thought of a few people who would surely know the location – we just wanted it to be identified – and he was at the Oyster Bay Chamber of Commerce Induction dinner at The Homestead that we attended so we asked him to take a look knowing he would know.
Billy Minicozzi recognized the farm picture as a horse farm, which he guessed might be in Upper Brookville or East Norwich. It was a good guess. On Monday he called delighted to say that the U.S. Hockey Team won a silver medal and that the USA had earned 37 medals in total. The most medals ever won by a country in the Olympics. It was a wonderful Olympics that we watched for more hours than we would like to admit. And just think, we had snow here, too.
This time we were shoveled out by Curtis Ridolf, an Oyster Bay High School alumnae, who said, “Be sure to thank Steve at Evolution Fitness. I’ve been working out there and that’s why I could shovel out my own driveway and yours, too.”
A mystery snow bunny also shoveled out our sidewalk on Sunday. If you want to live in a wonderful place – be sure to move to East Norwich!
