Rabbits Compete for Best in Show
Old Bethpage Village Restoration opens its 2010 season by hosting 1,500 rabbits in the annual LI Rabbit Breeders Association show on April 10. The family-friendly show showcases a variety of breeds and classes, including Belgian Hares, English Angoras, Holland Lops and New Zealands, among others. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Exhibition Hall. Call 572-8400.

Appreciation Concert
Atria Plainview, 12 Washington Ave., will host an appreciation concert featuring the resident chorus, in honor of the Mattlin Middle School Grandpals. The local senior living community will welcome the Grandpals to a concert performed by the residents of Atria Plainview, called “The Shower Singers.” Grandpals is a monthly intergenerational program that students collaborate with the seniors once a month on a project. 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 933-0002.

Long Island Roller Rebels
Long Island’s only flat-track Roller Derby league, the Long Island Roller Rebels, will host an action-packed doubleheader with the Pioneer Valley Roller Derby Teams from Northampton, MA, at Skate Safe America, 182 Bethpage Sweet Hollow Rod., Old Bethpage (249-1717).
