In August 2009 the Underdogs softball team held a memorial softball game for Richard Greene who passed away in a house fire last July. This year they are doing it again. A second game will be held on Aug. 28, which would have been Richard’s 25th birthday, at Cantiague Park (Field D).
All proceeds will go to the “Ricky Green Scholarship,” which was established last year in the late Hicksville resident’s memory; the scholarship will benefit a student showing excellence in theater. If you are interested in donating directly to the scholarship, please send a check, payable to “Hicksville High School Scholarship” with “Ricky Greene Scholarship” written in the memo line, to Hicksville UFSD, Attn: Business Office, 200 Division Avenue, Hicksville, NY 11801.
