After three tough loses in April against St. Anthony’s 16-12, Garden City 18-15 and Wantagh 23-15, the Lady Dalers lacrosse team regrouped and put together three important wins to start off May.
One win was against a strong Connecticut team, Darien High School. Jamie Leone led the Lady Dalers with five goals and three assists, while goalie Alex Gurecki had ten saves to give the Lady Dalers an 18-10 victory in Connecticut.
They also defeated Cold Spring Harbor 13-11. Then they defeated North Shore last Monday 19-14. Melanie Raso led the Lady Dalers with five goals and three assists while Jamie Leone had four goals, Kelly McPartland and Kim Kolodny had three goals, Kyra Ochwat two goals and Alyssa Cardillo and Maegan Meritz each had a goal. Goalie Alex Gurecki had 14 saves. With one more regular season game left on May 13 against Manhasset, the 2010 playoffs are coming up fast.
