Art Walk continues in the hamlet of Oyster Bay with art galleries open; restaurants offering special discounts. Added to the venues is Christ Church. The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Fine and Performing Arts Department in partnership with the Chase Edwards gallery and Christ Church will be displaying the work of eight AP art students. The eight portfolios present two years of work under the art teacher, Karen Crowley. And…Who’s Cooking joins ArtWalk with dessert items for tasting.

Bay Day
The WaterFront Center will host its 10th annual Bay Day Festival on Sunday, June 6, at Beekman Beach at the Western Waterfront in Oyster Bay between 11 am and 4pm. Woods Walk
Sharpen your powers of observation – a woods walk led by Dan Kriesberg, inspiring naturalist and science teacher. You’ll be amazed what you can see and hear and learn when you practice paying attention. 2 to 3 p.m. at Bailey Arboretum in Lattingtown. No charge, but donations appreciated. Dahlia Sale and Class
Learn an easy care method for growing healthy dahlia plants and techniques for supporting large healthy blooms and sturdy stems at a 7 p.m. Dahlias 101 class. After the class you can purchase reasonably priced exhibition quality dahlias like the ones the society grow’s at Planting Fields and Eisenhower Park. Audubon at Home and Work! Creating Sustainable Landscapes and Organic Gardens Workshop
The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary & Audubon Center will be hosting a workshop for non-formal educators at the Cold Spring Harbor Library, 95 Harbor Rd., Cold Spring Harbor, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Presentations are planned all day focusing on the Audubon at Home principals of low maintenance, chemical free, wildlife attractive, native green spaces. Participants will learn how to create sustainable landscapes and organic gardens and be able to take the principals and materials back with them to create wonderful green spaces at their homes or workplaces. Featured speakers will include Vincent Simeone, Betsy Gulotta, Mary Ford, Regina Dlugokencky and others. LI Rose Society Show
The LI Rose Society will present its annual Rose Show, “A Rose For All Seasons” at the Horticultural Center building at Planting Fields Arboretum, 1385 Planting Fields Rd. Hundreds of locally grown roses will be entered into the competition by amateur growers. Each rose is judged by a team of certified judges for conformance to standards set forth by the society. There will be a section of beautiful flower arrangements with roses as the dominant flower portraying the “A Rose for all Seasons” show theme. Visitors can purchase potted roses, plants, and other garden related items. The show is open to the public from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free. There is a parking charge of $6 per car. Call 922-9200.
