Central Nassau Guidance & Counseling Services 11th annual Golf Outing will be held at the Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course. Shotgun start 1:30 p.m. Come for a great day of golf…for a great cause. There are openings for individual golfers, twosomes and foursomes. Not a golfer? Come for the reception and buffet diner that follows, be a sponsor or give a donation. Raffle prizes wanted. Free Tennis Lessons

The U.S. Tennis Association Eastern section will bring its innovative and free “QuickStart” children’s instructional program to tennis courts at Nassau County parks. The program will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (rain date July 23). The program for children ages 4 to 12 is jointly sponsored by the U.S. Professional Tennis Association Eastern. Balls, racquets, nets and other materials will be provided to participants. QuickStart is designed to introduce youngsters to the sport by utilizing equipment, court dimensions and scoring that is tailored to their age and size. The program will take place at Cantiague Park (571-7056).

Defensive Driving

Sponsored by the Community Center of Plainview-Old Bethpage and the N.Y.S.P. State approved for insurance and point reduction. Eyes of Learning

A non-profit metaphysical study group held at Levittown Hall, Levittown Pky., Hicksville. For information call 731-0909 or visit eyesoflearning.org. Members $10; nonmembers $15. Program: “We’ve Got Your Number – Numerology” with Carole Durand, numerologist, teacher. You don’t need to be a mathematician to understand these numbers. Carol will teach the basics of this ancient science and explain The Divine Triangle. Learn how to assign numbers to names and dates and interpret the results. You can even find information on your past life. Carole will give mini readings as time allows. 8 p.m.

Galactic Blast Vacation Bible School

Hicksville United Methodist Church, 130 W. Old Country Rd., invites all children to Galactic Blast: A Cosmic Adventure Praising God Vacation Bible School. Board the spaceship Galactic Praise to see the awesome universe (and God) in a whole new way. The fun begins July 26 and ends July 30 from 9 a.m. to noon. Each Galactic Mission begins with a Bible Story in the Good New Galaxy, along with science activities at the Orbital Observatory, music at Moon & Tune, art projects at Cosmic Crafts, games at Rocket Rev and a snack at the Astro Bistro.
