Obituary: Velma Webster

Velma Webster, of Oyster Bay, died on Sept. 27, 2010. Wife of the late Bill. Mother of George (Theo), Joseph (Sharon), JoAnn (Fred) Sommerhalter and Dorothy (Jim) and the late William (Mary-Beth). Also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the “Thursday Ladies,” Catholic Daughters and I.H.M. Guild of St. Dominic’s, Italian American Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, DBSC and Beachbrook Seniors and the K of C Columbiettes. She was affectionately known as Mrs. Claus. Arrangements were made by the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Oyster Bay. Funeral Mass at the Chapel of St. Dominic’s RC Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Doubleday Babcock Senior Center. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
