Obituary – Johannes Louwers

Johannes Louwers, of Bethpage, passed away peacefully at age 69 in his home on October 16, 2010. Born in Holland in 1941, he came to the United States at the age of 15 and served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gertrude; daughters, Elisabeth Fields (Steve), Martina Dearstyne (Lou); grandchildren, Katie, Trevor, Jason, Meghan and Harrison; siblings, Maria and Robert and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held Oct. 18 at St. Martin of Tours RC Church with interment following at Calverton National Cemetery. Donations in Johannes’ name may be sent to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or Nassau-Suffolk Autism Society of America.
