Sara Flood Knows Oyster Bay

Sara Flood called to identify the Dec. 2 mystery picture. She said, ‘I know exactly where and when the picture was taken. That is Ruth Imhof in the center, making the Bicentennial Quilt at the Oyster Bay Historical Society. On the right is Dorothy Horton McGee.”

The photograph recently appeared in the Oyster Bay Historical Society’s Freeholder edition for their 50th Anniversary celebration.

Billy Minicozzi recognized the photo as ladies busy sewing. He added on a sports note, “I hope the Jets win and will be in first place over the past weekend.”

Last Week’s Photo

We always enjoy the weeks where the mystery picture is not identified because we get lots of answers the next week.

Robert P. McEvoy, senior said, “Last week’s mystery picture was the Billy Joel new cycle shop on Audrey Avenue, next to the post office.”

Paul Keller called to identify the mystery picture in the Nov. 25 issue, “Is the renovation of Billy Joel’s new motorcycle shop. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas.”

Mike Rich said, “The Nov. 26 mystery photo is the front of Billy Joel’s current new motorcycle enterprise. The photo is of when it was under construction when they were making the front.”

Frank Murdock said, “It’s 20th Century Cycles. I can tell by the classic lighting above.”

Derrick Nobman of Nobman’s Hardware Emporium said “The mystery picture is taken in front of the new Billy Joel Motorcycle shop museum. I’m pretty sure,” and he added “Have a great day!”

J.J. Jessup said, “It’s the new Billy Joel motorcycle place. I can’t believe nobody got it.” [They did but they all had to decide to call.]

Larry Locks said, “It’s the Billy Joel new 21st Century Motors museum/shop in Oyster Bay.”

You are all correct and he is being noticed. Have a great week.
