The Eagles were home Friday night when St. William the Abbott came into town, fresh off their Tommy Orlando Tournament win.
The game started out fast and furious with a back-to-back scoring. The Eagles had a tough job ahead that night while missing point guard Martin Egan was out with a sprained ankle and Robbie Schulz was out with a broken nose. The offensive scoring came from Anthony Rolston with 26 points, Damian Cardelena with six points, Justin Rodriguez with four points and Connor Reilly and Ray Pietzak both with three points.
Matt Mascia and Ray Pietzak owned the defensive boards. Pietzak, playing as the very physical big man from St. Williams, brought down 20 rebounds (Tommy Orlando MVP). The Eagles fell short this time losing 45-42 and brought their overall record to 9-2.
