To Host Event June 2
On Thursday, June 2 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. the Hicksville Community Council will be hosting a “Community Helping Community” expo. Informational letters will be mailed this week to all organizations and businesses in Hicksville.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get your mission and message out to the public to let everyone know what great work you’re doing for our community. Each exhibitor will have an opportunity to talk about their group(s) and answer questions at their individual tables.
Hicksville residents and businesses will be invited to attend at no charge, but rather be asked to donate non-perishable food items to go to our local food pantries. We will also be having raffles that evening, where the proceeds will be used to purchase local supermarket gift cards to be donated as well.

This is a first for the Hicksville Community Council and one that we hope will grow to be held each year. The council is celebrating its 41st year of service to the community in 2011. All meetings are held at the Hicksville Community Center located at 28 West Carl St. Refreshments will be served. Please make a note on your calendars to drop in and meet your neighbors.
