Boys Lacrosse
The Dalers Boys Lacrosse team (2-2) came up with two big wins to get back on track. They defeated Lynbrook 10-3 on March 29. With a 7-1-halftime lead, the offense was finally clicking. Sal Tuttle, Mike Perettine and Korey Hendrickson each had two goals. Greg Cataleno, Brian Prendergast, Travis Wahl and Brown had one goal each. Goalies Mike Palmer had four saves and TJ DiCarlo had one save.
On March 31 the Dalers defeated Plainview JFK 15-4. Again, the offense got to a fast start and opened up an 11-1 halftime lead. Pat Starke, Greg Cataleno each had three goals. Travis Wahl, Brian Prendergast, and Korey Hendrickson had two goals. Joe Woodland, Sal Tuttle and Brown each had a goal. Goalies Delucia had seven saves and Palmer two saves. The next home game will be on Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m. versus MacArthur.
Girls Lacrosse
After losing their opening game against the Class B powerhouse Garden City 17-11, the two time defending NYS Class A Champs got back on track. They defeated Oceanside 20-6 on March 29. The Lady Dalers offence gave the team a 15-3 halftime lead while the defense kept Oceanside down to three goals a half. Kim Kolodny had four goals, Jamie Leone and Michelle Tieman had three goals each. Emily Marlow, Paige Devine and Maegan Meritz had two goals. Amanda Turturro, Kyra Ochwat, Kelly McParland and Krisly Engleke had a goal each. Goalies Alex Gurecki had five saves and Nicole Kayola had two saves. Softball: Dalers Defeat Carey 4-3
A double by Kat Zabielski and a triple by Jenna Crawford gave the Dalers a 3-0 lead in the third inning. Pitcher Isabella Corrao drove in Emily Finkel a much-needed insurance run in the fourth to open up a 4-0 lead. Isabella Corrao only allowed four hits and struck out seven to hold out for a 4-3 win.
