Community Celebrates 56th Annual Spring Event
In Garden City, crowds gathered to watch the 56th Annual Easter Sunday Vintage Car Parade on April 24 at 1 p.m., which stepped off on Franklin Avenue at 10th Street with antique, classic, and special interest cars participating in the lineup.
Throngs of parade-goers came dressed in their Sunday best to view the classic cars as they lined up in parking field 9E between Ninth and Tenth streets prior to the parade. The Town of Hempstead’s Showmobile served as the backdrop for the renowned Banjo Rascals who performed along with the wandering Easter Bunnies bearing lollipops for the kids (courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Garden City).
