Triathletes of all ages and levels of ability are cordially invited to join the Greater Long Island Running Club on Thursday evening, May 19 for the Runner’s Edge – TOBAY Triathlon Clinic. The clinic will be held in the Auditorium of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library, 999 Old Country Road in Plainview, starting promptly at 6:30 p.m.
This will be an invaluable evening for first time triathletes as well as for those veterans who would like their performance to improve dramatically. Highlights will include a video of the 2010 Runner’s Edge-TOBAY Triathlon, a review of the course layout, training programs, and other key ingredients of a successful triathlon experience.
The clinic will be led by coach Jose Lopez, who has been the overall winner of several triathlons and duathlons, including the first TOBAY Triathlon in 1988. Jose is a Level II USA Triathlon coach with over 25 years of experience in competing and coaching. He will be assisted by the staff of Long Island Tri Coach, including veteran triathlete and coach Bob Cook, the proprietor of Triathlon title sponsor The Runner’s Edge.
Although this clinic is specifically designed for those who will be competing in the August 28, Runner’s Edge-TOBAY Triathlon, it will be of benefit to anyone who is doing any triathlon this year!
