Get ready Twi-hards, this news may leave you with a stroke.
It’s not enough that our favorite heroine Bella and vampire hero, Edward Cullen are dating off the set but actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart actually married accidentally—The two accidentally married during the filming of the next installment of the Twilight series, “Breaking Dawn.”
According to the Huffington Post, Pattinson, who plays Bella’s love interest, vampire Edward Cullen, divulged the secret during a press conference last week.
“The wedding scene’s funny because we used a real priest. So technically we are already married because he did all the things you would do in a normal ceremony,” Pattinson said Friday. He noted that though the two aren’t married by law they may be in the church.
“Breaking Dawn” follows Bella Swan, played by Stewart, as she marries Cullen. It comes as one of the most highly-anticipated films in the series, partly because of the heated honeymoon scene in which Bella and Edward consummate the marriage.
“It was so weird, it didn’t even feel like we were doing a Twilight film,” Stewart told UK’s Glamour, according to E!, about the infamous honeymoon scene. “I was like, ‘Bella! What are you doing? Wow! What is happening here?!’
She went on to reveal that it was originally rated R but said “They re-cut it.”
Following the honeymoon, things quickly turn dangerous after a baby starts growing inside Swan—and is slowly killing her from the inside.
The fourth installment of The Twilight Saga, directed by Academy Award® winner Bill Condon, hits theaters November 18, 2011. It follows three hit Twilight movies, based on the series by author Stephanie Meyer that has become a worldwide phenomenon since the first book came out, and the first movie was released in 2008.
