Beyonce married rapper, Jay-Z years ago but the world had yet to see her wedding dress, until now.
The two married in 2008 but kept the ceremony hush hush, never sharing any of their wedding photos or videos with the public.
“What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real,” Beyonce once told Essence magazine.
And no one even knew the couple was headed to the altar until after because Beyonce never wore an engagement ring.
“People put too much emphasis on that,” she said, reported People. “It’s just material and it’s just silly to me.”
Reportedly, the two married in the rapper’s penthouse apartment in New York. Beyonce’s parents along with her sister and Destiny’s Child bandmates were among the few guests that attended.
“Very few people knew about it. The sad part is that we offended some. But people who love you understand because, at the end of the day, it’s your day,” Jay Z told O Magazine, reported Holly Scoop.
For the first time ever, Beyonce shares a video of her wedding with the world.
According to AOL Music Blog, a short clip of Beyonce’s concert DVD “Live at Roseland:Elements of 4” will include footage of her dress and the couple’s nuptials.
The DVD is set to be released Nov. 21 and in the preview you can see a clip of her dress. Check it out.
