Joseph T. “Terrence” Ryan, of Bethpage, passed away Nov. 19, 2011. Husband for 62 years to the late Theresa I. Ryan. Father of Terrence (Cathy), Kathleen Niedzielski (Charlie), Maureen Howell (Ron), Eileen Valinoti, Timothy (BethAnne) and Thomas. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was a sergeant USMC serving in WWII and the Korean War, received his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University, master’s degree from Columbia and NYU. He served 30 plus years on the NYC Board of Education, principal of UCP of Suffolk County, past commander of Archie McCord Post 86 Marine Corps League, Sunrise Detachment. “Semper Fi.” Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held Nov. 23, at St. Martin of Tours RC Church with interment at Calverton National Cemetery.
