Obituary: Christopher Gagomiros

Christopher Gagomiros, of Levittown for nearly 60 years, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2011, from heart failure. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was given an Air Force Honor Guard for his burial at Pinelawn Cemetery. After the war, he worked as a radio operator for Eastern Seaboard Airlines, Trans Caribbean Airlines and finally TWA. Having three boys at home he went to work for Grumman as an air traffic controller and retired as airport manager after almost 40 years of service to them. He also was a coach for the Levittown Red Devils Football team. His wife Betty (Elizabeth) passed away a few years earlier. He is survived by his three sons, Dennis, Keith and Eric. He was 89 years old.
