A trailer for the highly-anticipated Disney movie “Brave” went viral Wednesday, exciting fans worldwide.
“Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland,” reads the trailer’s caption.
“Brave,” comes as a story of skilled archer and daughter of a king, Merida who confronts tradition and destiny, determined to carve her own path in life.
Merida, who’s voiced by Kelly Macdonald, is daughter of King Fergus, voiced by Billy Connolly and Queen Elinor, voiced by Emma Thompson and according to Disney, defies an age-old custom in the movie that is sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin, voiced by Kevin McKidd, surly Lord Macintosh, voiced by Craig Ferguson and cantankerous Lord Dingwall, voiced by Robbie Coltrane.
“Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman, voiced by Julie Walters, for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish,” reads the caption. “The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.”
The film is set to hit theaters on June 21. Even more exciting, it will be offered in 3D in select theaters.
