You know a collaboration between Gorillaz, James Murphy and Andre 3000, will be entertaining. And that holds true for their latest music video for “DoYaThing,” mixing freakish characters and a hot song.
The clip follow some weird-looking guys who live together in what appears to be a bachelor pad, a really messy one. It follows one blue-haired character who wakes up, grabs a piece of toast with an ear on it and gets smacked in the head with a shoe by his roommate, all before getting an eviction notice on his way out the door.
The collaboration came from Converse’s newest “Three Artists, One Song” campaign which includes an equally freaky sneaker, Chuck Taylor Gorillaz sneaker. The sneaker is part of the new limited edition collection featuring artwork by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett.
“I’ve had a lot of dreams come true, and not all of them have been very savory, but this is definitely one of them. Gorillaz – Andre – James Murphy. It’s a perfect cocktail, complete with its own little umbrella,” Gorillaz’s Murdoc said, reported AceShowBiz. “I like the whole Three Artists. One Song idea. Gorillaz are all about collaboration, aren’t we, so it seemed like a perfect fit.
