Mickael Pietrus of the Boston Celtics was taken off the court in a stretcher following a fall Friday.

It was in the second quarter of the Friday night game against the Philadelphia 76ers, that Pietrus was hurt. He fell to the floor after colliding with Lou Williams, of the 76ers.

He seemed to have hit his head on the floor and then rolled onto his stomach as aid ran onto the court. The player was then whisked away on a stretcher.

Pietrus was taken to an area hospital but reportedly did not spend the night.

He was later diagnosed with a concussion. Fox Sports reported that he stayed overnight in Philadelphia and was cleared to return to Boston Saturday and be evaluated by Celtics medical officials.

Reportedly, the Celtics revealed that the MRI, CT scan and X-ray taken in Philadelphia were all negative.

He later took to Twitter to thank his fans and team, tweeting, “Wanna thank the NBA Family especially CelticsNation(fans staff n teammates) n the fans around the world 4 their support.”
