This year, the Farmingdale High School girls’ varsity lacrosse team is currently 5-0. Not only are they undefeated in Class A, they are currently ranked no.1 in the New York State Region on “LAXPOWER.” The Lady Dalers are led this year by senior captains, Kaitlin Gaghan, Kim Kolodny and Colleen Reynolds.
The Lady Dalers also have several powerful keys returning players such as Nadine Hadnagy, Amanda Turturro, Paige DeVine, Maggie Flemming, Brenna Weill, Courtney McPartland, Emily Marlow, Samantha Brescia, Megan Sullivan, Kate Hess, Diana Prendergast, Sara Tolson, Lindsay Rzempoluch, Gina Ramos, Nicole Kayola, transfer students Cassie Perettine and Chrissy Kelly.
New to the Lady Daler team are Tara Wahl, Jillian Alonso, Laura Fullum, Shannon Sullivan, Bridget Weill, Emily Dwyer, Kayleigh Escamilla, Mirella Despot, Karlee Dessel, Carrie Godas and goalie Olivia Kirk.
The JV Farmingdale Lady Daler lacrosse team is also having success on the field. Joining the program this year is new assistant coach Stacie McPartland.
The eighth-grade girls started off their season on March 24 with a 15-8 victory over Manhasset. The entire team played well with eight different girls contributing to scoring. Brian Quinn, George Henry and Don Gaghan coach the team this year.
The seventh-grade girls had their first game on March 23 in Northport. The team fought hard and came up a little short 7-5. Joe Rzempoluch and several varsity Lady Dalers players such as Perettine, Rzempoluch and Flemming coach the team this year.
