Alzheimer’s Presentation
Dr. Richard Isaacson, a Harvard-trained neurologist and co-author of the book The Alzheimer’s Diet: A Step-By-Step Nutritional Approach for Memory Loss Prevention and Treatment, will be among the speakers at the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation (LIAF) 25th Annual Coping and Caring Conference and Awards Luncheon at the Hilton Long Island in Melville. In addition to Dr. Isaacson’s talk, this year’s Coping and Caring Conference and Awards Luncheon will feature multiple presentations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in skill-building stations. Full-day registration includes continental breakfast and attendance at the awards luncheon. Ridotto: Russians In Paris Concert
Ridotto, concerts “with a Touch of Theater,” presents “Russians in Paris.” Between 1910 and 1940, stream of Russian artists found refuge in Paris. Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes, Stravinsky, Bakst, Kandinsky, Pavlova, Prokofiev, Sonia Delaunay, Chagall, Sudeikina, Larionov and many others came to Paris where they helped to revolutionize all arts. Sign Language Classes
American Sign Language (ASL) classes will be offered by Mill Neck Services for deaf adults on Mondays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Jan. 7 through March 25, 2013.
