Rainstorm Pix A Winner

Oyster Bay High School Junior Laurel Dorfman won the Grand Prize in “The Peoples’ Choice” Environmental Photo Contest sponsored by State Sen. Carl Marcellino. Her prize winning photograph was taken at the Russell/Cody Residence on Tiffany Road in Oyster Bay Cove in June 2012 shortly after a thunderstorm.
Photographs were to portray the natural environment and emphasize the beauty of the 5th Senate District. Winners were chosen by vote on Senator Marcellino’s web site www.senatormarcellino.com from Jan. 7 through Jan.14.
An exhibit of all the photographs and a reception for the winners will be held but a date has not yet been set.
