Future Comet Shines

Nick Rodriguez, goalkeeper, has been selected by the Super Y League and United Soccer League and will be attending the Super Y National ODP camp Feb. 21-24, held at the IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Nick has been involved in the Rough Riders programs since he was 8 years old and for the last two seasons has played on the 1998 Super Y team. 

Nick currently plays for the Albertson 1998 USSF team and hopes to play for the Hicksville High School soccer program during the Fall 2013 season.

In the summer of 2012, the BU15 Rough Riders were Mid Atlantic champions with a record of 11 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie and only allowing eight goals. The Rough Riders made it to the National Semifinals held in Florida and were defeated by Ironbound SC by the score of 3-1 in early December 2012.

The Super Y-League, through US Soccer and the United States Olympic Committee ODP programs identify players for U.S. National Team Programs. In addition to many players being identified for U.S. National Team Programs, leading college and university soccer programs throughout the United States identify top players.
