Garden City High School seniors Anne Foxen and Tiffany Liang were selected for the ‘Advanced Visions’ exhibition for high school art students at LIU Post in Brookville, said Advanced Placement (AP) art teacher Shawn Uttendorfer
The Advanced Visions exhibition of AP art works took place through January 30 at the Hillwood Commons Student Art League Gallery, C.W. Post. This year, 35 high schools throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties submitted drawings, paintings and photographs created by Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and Portfolio Preparation art students.
“Smuckers” was painted by Garden City High School senior Annie Foxen. The young artist’s work received an honorable mention in this year’s Advanced Visions exhibit at C.W. Post.
Tiffany Liang created this beautiful water-based oil painting on canvas board. Her work juxtaposes images from nature that mimic those found in the human figure.
