Marie Coyle Glass passed away on May 2 at the age of 66. She was the beloved wife of Samuel Glass for 43 years.
Marie Glass was a resident of Centre Island for 35 years. She served her community as Treasurer of the Centre Island Association and a member of the Centre Island Planning Board. She was also a dedicated committee member of the Boys and Girls Club of Oyster Bay — East Norwich.
Marie will always be remembered as a faithful friend and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, her son Steven E. Glass, her daughter Anne M. Glass, son-in-law Ron Hester, her grandsons Jake and Owen, and her cats Beavis and Lucifer.
The family held a memorial service at their home on Sunday, May 5. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to the Boys and Girls Club of Oyster Bay – East Norwich, 1 Pine Hollow Road, Oyster Bay, NY 11771.
