A West Babylon man who was arrested on 10 counts of burglary over the past three months allegedly escaped from a Suffolk County police station house, authorities said.

Anthony Forgione, who police said was re-apprehended shortly after his alleged breakout Tuesday from the First Precinct on Route 109, was also charged with escape and grand larceny.

Police said the 28-year-old suspect was caught after burglarizing a Marcy Street home and was then linked to other burglaries in West Babylon, Deer Park and West Islip dating back to April.

Forgione will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.

First Precinct detectives ask anyone with information related to these crimes or any other crimes committed by Forgione to call them at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
