A 20-year-old man was shot and wounded by a gunman who opened fire on him and four other people in his hometown of Bay Shore on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.
The victim, whose identity wasn’t released, was with the group in a vehicle at the corner of Prospect Place and Pine Acre Boulevard when the gunman walked up and fired a shotgun at 1:25 p.m., police said.
The victim, who was shot in the face, was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
