Obituary: David C. Sloan

Sloan, David C., age 69, of Bethpage, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On Sunday, Aug. 18, at Lowell General Hospital., Lowel,l MA, he passed on from this life after a long battle with a head injury, which occurred as a result of a car accident in 1966. Born Feb. 22, 1944, in Bethpage, he was the son of the late William S and Lourene A. Sloan. He was a graduate of Bethpage High School and Evangel College, Springfield, MO, where David was on the golf team. He was also a lifetime member of Bethpage Assembly of God. Surviving are his five brother and sisters. William B. (Mary Ruth), Lourene C. Zahac, Ruth C. Banach (John), Clara A. Tooker (Ken), and W. Douglas Sloan (Mary). He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law John Zahac. Also surviving are two nephews and nieces nieces and many grandnephews and nieces. Friends and relatives attended services on Aug. 22, at the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Sal Bennardo officiating. Interment followed in the family plot at the Bethpage United Methodist Church Cemetery.
