All-State musicians selected to perform in Rochester
Alex Della Ratta and Leslie Wann were recently selected as NYSSMA All-State musicians to perform at the annual NYSSMA New York State School Music Association) Conference to be held in Rochester, NY on Dec. 5-8. Michael Crapotta, Justin Gong, and Teresa Pietromonaco were also selected as alternates for this year’s concerts.
“We are very proud of Alexander Della Ratta and Leslie Wann and our three alternates who also have a chance to make a performance ensemble and attend the conference,” explained Dr. Nina Prasso, district coordinator for music & the arts. This is the first time junior Leslie Wann will be attending the NYSSMA conference. She has studied viola for eight years and also plays piano. Last year, Della Ratta was selected to the National Association for Music Educator’s All-Eastern Honors Band in April in Hartford, CT. He was also selected as an All-State musician in 2012.
