Stratford School welcomes

new assistant principal

Garden City Public Schools recently announced the appointment of Christopher Uccellini as the new assistant principal at Stratford. He holds a B.A. in history from Post University, CT, an M.S. in early childhood education/childhood education from Dowling College, and a professional diploma in educational leadership from Stonybrook University. Uccellini has been an elementary education teacher in the Copiague Public Schools since 2008. While in Copiague, he additionally served as a coordinator for the mentor program for at-risk students, the peer mentoring program, and the literacy committee. He also holds initial New York State certification in school building leadership and professional certification in childhood education (grades 1-6), and early education, (birth to grade 2).

“I am very happy to become a part of the Garden City tradition,” explained Uccellini. “I look forward to working with the students, staff, and community in the future.”
