A man stabbed a woman who he robbed outside the Wal-Mart in East Meadow on Tuesday night, Nassau County police said.

The 42-year-old victim was loading packages into her vehicle parked outside the store on Hempstead Turnpike when the robber demanded the victim’s pocketbook at 10:35 p.m., police said.

The robber snatched the purse and stabbed the victim in the left forearm with an unknown object before he fled the scene, police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where she was treated for a non-life threatening injury.
