Lennon Tribute Concert

“She Loves You,” “I Want To Hold Your Hand” and lots more will be part of a Lennon tribute concert this Saturday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m. in The Great Neck Arts Center’s Doris Weinstein Theatre.

lennonThe performance will feature members of Come Together, a New York based Beatles tribute band best known for their1964-1969 Beatles show covering the Beatles from the groups Ed Sullivan Show performance to their Abbey Road rooftop concert.

Since 1994, each member of the band has performed in Beatles tribute bands throughout the country and overseas, and now they have “come together,” bringing energy and nostalgia from their favorite stage, The Cavern Club. “Every stage we step on is another opportunity to express this lifelong love,” says band founder Steve Sgambati, who plays John.

Tickets are now on sale for the show, and can be paid with most major charges, cash or check. Advance tickets are only $20 each, and $25 at the door. They can be purchased by visiting The Arts Center, calling 829-2570, or visiting www.greatneckarts.org. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and a cash bar and refreshments will be available. The Great Neck Arts Center is located at 113 Middle Neck Road, with a main entrance facing the Maple Drive municipal parking lot.

The show, another in the Arts Center’s Acoustic Café series, is presented by Love Rewvolution.Org and The Gold Coast Acoustic Café. The program is sponsored, in part, by All Music, Inc., Little Neck Beverage, Richland Management Co., and Starbucks.
