The North Shore-LIJ Health System announce that Orthopaedic Associates of Great Neck has joined the health system, boosting number of full-time orthopedists across the network to 42, the largest and most-comprehensive group in the region.
Opened in 1998, Orthopaedic Associates boasts five full-time doctors working out of offices at 825 Northern Boulevard in Great Neck and 10 Medical Plaza in Glen Cove.
The specialists, all residents of Long Island’s north shore — Steven M. Erlanger, MD, Jay Nathan, MD, Barry G. Simonson, MD, Joshua N. Steinvurzel, MD, and Baruch Toledano, MD, treat nearly 25,000 patients each year.
“The physicians at Orthopaedic Associates of Great Neck have been providing quality and personalized care to the area for 25 years and practicing as a group for 15 years,” said Dr. Simonson. “The five surgeons in the practice bring a broad range of talent and expertise to the North Shore-LIJ Health System.”
The group offers a wide range of treatment for bone or joint problems, including arthroscopic and replacement surgery.
“The addition of Orthopaedic Associates strengthens the orthopedic care offered across the health system,” said Nicholas Sgaglione, MD, the Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the North Shore-LIJ Health System. “We welcome the commitment and quality of care provided by its physicians and staff.”
