On Dec. 16, 2013, students Brianna Scaldaferri and Charles Bachmeier, from the Bethpage Union-Free School District, were honored for the Nassau County Outstanding Physical Education Student Award at the Crest Hollow Country Club. This award is presented to a student who exhibits a physically active lifestyle, demonstrates responsible personal and social behavior including good sportsmanship, character, civility and citizenship.
