The Island Trees High School Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band, under the direction of Mr. Greg Warnokowski , recently presented their Winter Concert at Island Trees High School. After finishing a successful marching band season, the talented students were hard at work once again to prepare music for this concert. The evening began with the “Saxletes” performing in the main lobby as guests entered the auditorium. All groups performed a wonderful selection of holiday music as well as traditional classics, jazz, and popular music. The concert ended with a traditional rendition of “Sleigh Ride” in which band alumni were invited to perform as well. The concert also featured the Community Choir, under the direction of Ms. Chet Lazzara. Congratulations to all performing groups for a well done and well received concert.
