syossetThe son of a Syosset couple found shot to death in their Doone Drive home in 2007 was found dead Jan. 12 in his off-campus home while attending the University of Pennsylvania.

Police are investigating the death of 20-year-old Pulkit “Josh” Singh, an engineering and computer science student at the Wharton School, but no foul play is suspected at this time, UPenn’s college newspaper, The Daily Pennsylvanian, reported.

Singh had been living with his aunt and uncle, Joginder Singh, in Bethpage since his parents’ death.

“He was the star of our family, and he had a brain that could think at least 10 or 12 years ahead of his time,” Joginder told The Daily Pennsylvanian. “He was always so, so confident. Everybody in our community looked up to him.”

In January 2007, Singh and his younger brother Ankur found their parents, Jaspal Singh, 46, and Geeta Singh, when they returned from school shortly after 3 p.m. The family had moved from Rego Park and had only been living in the Syosset house for less than a year. The case remains unsolved.

Testing to determine Singh’s cause of death is under way.
