Syosset High School student Adam Katz has been named a National YoungArts Foundation Finalist in cinematic arts and participated in the 33rd annual YoungArts Week in Miami from Jan. 6-12.
Katz was one of 171 finalists from 687 winners and a total of 11,000 applications across 10 disciplines covering the fields of literary, performing, visual and design arts.
During YoungArts Week, finalists participated in master classes and workshops with renowned artists and shared their work with the public through screenings and performances. YoungArts serves as the exclusive nominating agency for the U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts.
