Showcasing Business Skills

Levittown’s MacArthur High School business students proudly displayed group and individual class projects during the business department’s annual student showcase. Volunteering at each of the stations, Business Honor Society members represented each students’ work in the areas of business ownership and marketing, computer programming, desktop publishing, digital media production, introduction to business, computer applications, sports and entertainment marketing, trial law and web design.

The forum was an excellent opportunity for students to explore interesting curriculum options and for parents to view their student’s in-depth projects.

Nick Gangi was a representative for the personal money management station. He explained that the class was instructed to learn about a business career and to manage personal finances based on potential salaries and expenses. “Business classes teach us how to manage the real world,” he said. “It’s not just about learning business facts, but how to handle ourselves.”
