Hicksville Community Council Meeting
The Hicksville Community Council will be hosting NYS Assemblyman Michael Montesano who will speak on the latest from the State, and a representative of the Nassau County Board of Elections. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Hicksville Library Computer Resource Center, 101 Jerusalem Ave.

St. Patrick’s Day Dance
Joseph Barry Knights of Columbus will be having at St. Patrick’s Day Dance. There will be corned beef, cabbage, Irish soda bread, dessert and coffee. Open bar and an Irish band. Supermarket Bingo
Joseph Barry Columbiettes will be having a supermarket bingo. Doors open at 7 p.m., games start at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, which includes one set of cards. Sister Act: A Salute to Legendary Divas
Vocalists Celeste and Andrea pay tribute to the legendary female performers who paved the way for today’s young female singers. All singing is done live and all impersonations are done in costume. No registration required. 2 p.m.

PlayHooray – Baby and Me
Register now for this class for babies six to 18 months. This 45 minute program is a lively introduction to nursery rhymes, books, music and movement, complete with song and dance. Session dates are March 11, 18 and 25 at 10 a.m.
AARP Tax Aide
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is a volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service available to low and middle income taxpayers (about $60,000 or less) with special focus on seniors. Photo identification is required. Please bring all necessary forms, 1099s, W2 statements and last year’s tax return to your appointment.The tax help will be held in the Teen Center located on the lower level of the library. Tax preparation is by appointment only. Appointments will be given at the following time increments: 1:15 p.m.; 2:15 p.m.; 3:15 p.m.; and 4:15 p.m. every Tuesday until April 15. Space is limited.
Jump For Joy
Children one and a half through five years old are invited to jump for joy as they play along to popular songs. Session dates are Tuesdays March 11, 18 and 25 at 7:15 p.m.

Lampwork Glass-Blown Heart Pendant
Spaces are still open for this craft, which will allow teens to create a beautiful “necklace-ready” pendant with Linda Rendina. Embellish a beautiful lampwork heart bead with color-coated flexible copper wire. Teens will be able to slip it onto their favorite chain or cording, when completed. Materials fee is $6. 7:15 p.m.
