Nassau County police are looking for the woman who assaulted and robbed a pedestrian in Westbury on March 8.
Police say the 46-year-old female victim was walking eastbound on Winthrop Street at 8 p.m. when she was approached by a woman who asked to borrow her cell phone.
When the victim refused, the woman shoved her to the ground, punched her in the face, took the victim’s pocketbook which contained her cell phone, along with personal papers, and fled toward School Street.
The woman is described as black, approximately 5’3” tall, heavy set, wearing a black coat, blue hooded sweatshirt and a black head covering. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
