Obituary: Donald J. Murphy

Donald J. Murphy of Bayville died on March 13, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Helen Marie. Loving father of  Donna Thompson, Susan Eifert. Cherished grandfather of Dawn, Jason, Greg, Brian, Liam, great-grandfather of Robert, Meghan, Dalton, Haven, Blake, Landon, and Chloe. Dear brother of Kenneth,  Joan Brandt, and the late Doris Brandt, Barbara Hornosky, and Errol Murphy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A proud Seabee who served his country during WWII. Past Commander of the Robert H. Spittell Post 1285 American Legion. Family received friends at the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home Inc., 293 South Street, Oyster Bay. Funeral Mass held at St. Gertrude’s R.C.C.  Interment St. John’s Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Robert H.
