Chamber Music Recital At North High

chamberNorth High School will hold its Chamber Music Recital on Wednesday, April 9, beginning at 7 p.m., in the school auditorium, 35 Polo Rd. Students will perform under the direction of music instructors Janine Robinson and Joseph Rutkowski, and Roger Ames, composer in residence.

The evening will include 11 pieces by noted composers, including Franz Schubert, Morton Gould (a former Great Neck resident), Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Antonin Dvorak.

Student performers, grouped by their instrument, will include: Abigail Berkower, Cordelia Ding, Man Shan Hon, Zachary Lee, Isabel Lesser, Isabelle Sehati, Zi Yi Zhang, flutes; Chris Peter Angelidis, oboe; Arabelle Chafe, Solomon Elyaho, Scott Rothbaum, Benjamin Watson, Jasmine Wong, clarinets; Meira Ferster, Man Yung Hon, Yulia Yeung, saxophones; Jeesu Yune, bassoon; Luhong (Larry) Li, euphonium; Rachel Berkower, David Elyaho, Leerone Hakami, Ronald Li, Eric Wang, Matthew Weinstein, Chulin Yu, violins; Jacob Szilagi, viola; Yinny Chan, Emily Gold, celli; Amanda Cho, Jessy Lin, Kejia (Madeleine) Wang, piano; Jessy Lin, accordion; and Eddie Syn, bass.
