Students at Temple Judea of Manhasset celebrated Israel with a visit from a former Israel Defenses Forces Lieutenant Amit Shuker.
Lieutenant Shuker engaged the students in a simulation game, while teaching them Hebrew words and phrases. The students also learned about the significant role of the IDF experience in Israeli culture.
In addition, students participated in a learning activity which took them “all over the map” – a giant map of Israel, which enabled them to visualize the geography of Israel.
