Diamonds In The Rough
I would like to extend thanks and congratulations to village residents Ruby and Brad Gustavson for the original musical production of Diamond in the Rough which they wrote and directed. I had the pleasure of seeing this play last weekend at the Garden City Community Church Theatre and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. It was nice to see many residents young and old that evening and I know that they appreciate our support of their efforts.
Library Board Of Trustees
There will be a meeting of the board of library trustees on Monday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Garden City Public Library in the small meeting room, lower level.
Upcoming School Budget Meetings
The school district 2014-15 budget meetings are scheduled as follows (all budget meeting are held at 8:15 p.m. at Garden City High School):
April 23: Budget adoption
May 13: Budget hearing
May 20, 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.: Budget vote in high school gymnasium

I encourage residents to make a conscious effort to choose Garden City as the place to shop and dine. It would be extremely helpful to our business community if you could make one purchase daily in the village stores. Customer service, selection and quality are outstanding. While shopping or dining let the merchant know that you appreciate them and all that they offer. I look forward to seeing everyone in town.
