Matzah Balls
The Mid-Island Y JCC, 45 Manetto Hill Rd., hosts a day of fun sports in the gym. The event features soccer, t-ball, basketball instruction and play time. Everybody wins and everybody has fun. Later in the day, participants will make a delicious nut-free charoset for dessert. Books and free play will round out the day. Attendees are asked to bring a peanut-free, Kosher for Passover lunch. Join the Mid-Island Y JCC for a day celebrating sharing and friendship. Starting at 10 a.m., hosts will read Rainbow Fish, enjoy a fun-filled and colorful craft activity and spend special time with friends. Playtime and a colorful Kosher for Passover snack made by the children will be included. Attendees are asked to bring a peanut-free, Kosher for Passover lunch. The Four Points By Sheraton Hotel, 333 South Service Rd. in Plainview, welcomes community members to a Craft Fair April 19 from noon to 5 p.m. Many great vendors are participating and many items will be available for purchase, including Origami Owl, handmade Easter baskets, all-natural Italian extra virgin olive oils and IGP Balsamic vinegars, handcrafted jewelry and much more. The Plainview-Old Bethpage Library welcomes guests to enjoy clips from Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis performances, interviews and them with guests such as Carl Reiner and Dick Van Dyke, as well as Dean Martin singing some of his best-known songs. This event is part one of a series, featuring Jack Schnur. Event is April 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.

Library Golden Anniversary
The Plainview-Old Bethpage Library welcomes residents to help the library celebrate 50 years serving the community. The event will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. and features a variety of events, including Ron & Julie Anne Meixsell in the auditorium at 2 p.m. and Dave Anthony on guitar throughout the day. Musical Trip
The Plainview-Old Bethpage Library will host a bus trip to the Shoenfeld Theatre in New York City for a 10:30 a.m. showing of The Bridges of Madison County, a new musical. Based on the best-selling novel by James Waller, this new musical tells the story of a devoted Iowa housewife and her unlikely love affair with a National Geographic photographer. Starring Kelli O’Hara as Francesca Johnson and Steve Pasquale as Robert Kincaid. Tony award winning director Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, The Light in the Piazza) helms the musical which has a score by Tony winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Songs For a New World). Lions Club Meeting
Serving the Plainview-Old Bethpage and Bethpage communities since 1957, the Lions Club holds dinner meetings on the second Wednesday of every month except July and August. The Lions Club strives to make a difference in local communities and encourages residents to come in and voice their concerns. Babies And BimBam

Clutterers Anonymous
A 12-step self-help group, offers help and support to those who have clutter problems in their homes or workplace.
