Suffolk County police said Timothy Miller was crossing North Ocean Avenue when he was hit by a Nissan Sentra just south of Peconic Street shortly after 10 p.m.

The victim was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where he died of his injuries Tuesday morning, police said.

The driver, 20-year-old Molly Silvestre of Selden, was not injured or charged.
